One of the standout players on City’s treble-winning squad was Jack Grealish. He played a significant role in the team’s league title, FA Cup, and Champions League victories the previous season. He was also Pep Guardiola’s first-choice player at the beginning of the season, but Jeremy Doku has replaced Grealish in the starting lineup since joining from Rennes in the summer for a fee of £55 million.
This season, Jeremy Doku has made five of nine appearances. He contributed to their 2-1 victory over Brighton. In contrast, Grealish has only made two starts since Jeremy Doku arrived. Jack Grealish is in trouble because Jeremy Doku has swiftly adjusted to life at the Etihad and is in excellent form.
Jack Grealish made 50 appearances for City last season as they won every championship final they played. Will Grealish be able to reclaim his position in the starting lineup up, let see how the remainder of the season turns up.
